”Very gripping opening, with both the images and feelings of 911 and the great economy of words in ‘growing up linked to a telepathic twin,’ which has an instant depth of connection and intrigue. Very well done. Dialogue shines in this book, throughout, with natural conversation, gesturing, inner dialogue, movement and contact. Author has a lovely way with dialogue, differentiating voices well and seeming to have studied the real way in which people talk to, around, and over each other. We’re brought into imaginative observation of astral projection, finding much realism in the instances, as she is dropped into well-painted settings and energy levels. Well done. Author excels at opening the reader’s mind to psychic and paranormal phenomena, using great pacing and layered characters. Within this intriguing material is the tension of a killer with powers and the well-timed dial-up of romance, and with the romance we get very sweet, very real moments with Nate. Something as tender and ‘normal’ as buying groceries and putting them away. That seems to be the dream life, moments of peace and connection. Nothing could be nicer. I was impressed with the author’s fine talent for duration and variation of scene lengths, which drives the pace. Sophia has used her gift for good (tracking down nuclear weapons,) and now seems poised for healing and connection through the next challenges that seem on the way. Nice job.”
